Shinjuku

Shinjuku is a red light district and office town centering on Shinjuku station, one of the three major suburbs alongside Shibuya and Ikebukuro.

During the Edo Period, it prospered as a lodging station in Koshu way.

After the modern era, it has grown as a downtown area triggered by the Great Kanto Earthquake.
